Dexter Lewis
April 21, 2007 -

Dexter LewisMy name is Dexter and I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me as a T3 paraplegic. All my life I’ve been into fast bikes and even faster cars. You can only imagine the devastation I felt when I thought I would never be able to race again. While never giving up hope, one of my friends by the name of Tom West spread the word that I needed help getting back into myDexter Lewis Subaru STI. Trey Cobb from Cobb Tuning answered the call. As Cobb and I searched for a set of hand controls that would complement my new system that would allow me to keep my 6 speed, a 6 speed there was only one system that came to mind. Sure Grip’s were the only hand controls that would allow me to keep at least one hand on the wheel, add gas, while the other hand shifts swiftly and fluently. There’s no better feeling then having back your independence and because of Cobb and Sure Grip, they’ve made my dreams of hitting the racetrack again a reality. Thanks guys!
